path of ecstasy
Some barbarians turn to rage to increase their martial prowess and endurance; your superhuman feats of strength are due to a powerful spiritual connection. Whether your bond is with a god or goddess, a demigod, or another celestial being, your body is a conduit for them to enact their will on the world.
Ecstatic Rage
At 3rd level when you choose this subclass, you gain proficiency in Religion. Additionally, choose a Cleric domain. Once per rage you can cast one spell from your chosen domain spell list; this spellcasting is not prevented by your rage. You must be at least two levels higher than indicated for Clerics to cast a spell from the list; for example, if your chosen domain is Death, you would need to be at least 3rd level to cast ray of sickness during your rage, or at least 7th level to cast vampiric touch.
Out of Body
At 6th level, your awareness of pain becomes greately diminished when you’re raging. While you are raging any damage that you take is reduced by an amount equal to your rage damage bonus.
Slay in the Spirit
Starting at 10th level you may attempt to force a creature to bow in awe to the entity that empowers you. A number of times each day equal to your proficiency bonus as a bonus action, you tap into the divinity that suffuses your body and attempt to overcome a creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw equal to 8 plus your proficiency bonus plus your Constitution modifier or immediately drop anything it’s holding, lose concentration on any spells it is concentrating on, and fall prone.
Unshakeable Conviction
Beginning at 14th level, you have utter control over your body when in your rage. While you are raging if any spell, ability, or effect would cause you to act or move against your will you may choose to act normally instead.
